Assembly & Use Video

Assembly Instructions:

Optional:  Maximize Strength

    • For maximum assembled strength, a small amount of glue can be applied inside the lower, back corners of the dovetail in the base component immediately prior to assembly.
    • Recommended glues: Cyanoacrylate (CA) glues such as Super Glue, Loctite, or Gorilla Super Glue.

  1. Align the Components:  Locate the arrow on the magwell upright component and align it with the arrow in the dovetail groove of the base component.
  2. Slide into the dovetail:  Slide the magwell upright into the dovetail groove of the base component.  You will feel increased resistance during the last ⅛”.
  3. Snap together:  With both hands, safely grip the rear center of the base and the bottom front of the magwell upright (near the small “FD” logos are on each component, respectively).  Firmly press them together until the magwell upright is fully seated into the base. You should hear an audible click when the components fully seat together.

Important:  Once assembled, the components should not be separated as this may wear down and weaken the retention geometry.

    Fitment & Dimensions:

    • AR-15 MOD1 Stand Height in Use:
      • The MOD1 is the low profile version designed to minimize overall height and maximize storage efficiency which places the top of the upper receiver picatinny rail approximately 7.6” (193 mm) above the surface the stand is sitting on.  To determine the total height of your setup with an optic or other accessory, simply measure from the top of the upper receiver picatinny rail to the top of the optic and add 7.6” (193 mm) to determine the total height with the AR-15 MOD1 Stand.
    • AR-15 MOD1 Stand Grip Clearance:
      • The vertical height from the surface the stand is sitting on up to the center of the rear trigger guard pin hole of the lower receiver is 3.27” (83 mm).
      • For reference, this provides the following clearance from the bottom of the grip to the surface the stand is on for these common grips:
        • Daniel Defense Pistol Grip:  6 mm clearance
        • Bravo Company Grip Mod 3:  3 mm clearance
        • Magpul MOE+ Grip:  8.5 mm clearance
        • Magpul MOE-K2 Grip:  6 mm clearance
        • Die Free Co. Kung Fu Grip:  12 mm clearance
      • Tall grips or those with extended features, like a palm shelf, are likely to not fit.  If in doubt, measure prior to ordering.
    • Maximum Barrel Length:
      • The AR-15 MOD1 Stand can support a maximum barrel length of 20” with a muzzle device less than 2” long.
      • Longer barrels, larger muzzle devices / suppressor and other accessories like bipods, lights, range finders, IR illuminators, etc. may cause the balance point to shift farther forward than the AR-15 MOD1 Stand was engineered for.
    • Dimensions (stand only, assembled):
      • Height: 5.6” (142 mm)
      • Width: 5.2” (133 mm)
      • Length:  8.4” (214 mm)
      • Weight:  6.0 oz. (171 g)

    Note:

    • Firearms, optics, and accessories shown are for display only and are not included.
    • Ensure you follow all Federal, State, and Local laws regarding safe firearm handling and storage.
    • Keep firearms and ammunition locked and out of reach from children and unauthorized users.

    Always practice proper firearm safety:

    • Treat every firearm as if it’s loaded.
    • Never point the muzzle at anything you are not willing to destroy.
    • Keep your finger off the trigger until ready to fire.
    • Be sure of your target and what is in front of and beyond it.
